Temperatures are starting to rise here in Columbus and I'm getting my outdoor space ready for everything from evening dinners on the patio to large gatherings. We are so lucky that our home was primed for outdoor living when we moved in. We have a backyard patio area, a pergola with living room seating and a dining table with umbrella that seats four! We even have an outdoor TV, and tend to watch all of our baseball and football games out there when weather permits. Take a look!

Although our space is pretty well appointed, much of it was repurposed items that the old owners left behind or things I had to buy on a budget just to fill up the space. Now that we've been in the house a few years, I'm starting to think about ways to really spruce up our outdoor space and give it a whole different look and feel. Some things I'll be sticking with in my outdoor space is the usage of black and white -- I think this is a fabulous and timeless color palette! I want to add more quality furniture pieces and "declutter" the space a bit. Many of my pieces are too light and airy and I need wood or concrete items to really anchor the space.
