Wabi Sabi Georgian
When our clients purchased this Georgian-style home in New Albany, they loved the architecture but knew the interiors needed a complete rethinking. Builder-grade finishes and lack of character left the home feeling disconnected from its traditional roots, so our approach focused on introducing natural materials, richer textures, and a greater sense of permanence while honoring the existing architecture. Balancing one client’s love of modern wabi-sabi minimalism with the other’s more traditional sensibility, we created a home where clean-lined restraint coexists with classic detailing. Thoughtful layout updates on the first floor improved both function and flow, resulting in a home that feels intentional, timeless, and deeply livable for family life.
