Moodboard Monday - Textural Bedroom Oasis

Welcome back to the third installment of Moodboard Monday! (Version one and two linked here!)

Last week on Instagram, I had a request to do a moodboard using this wallpaper. I decided that I'd love this wallpaper in a bedroom, and that it was a great opportunity to play around with mixed patterns and textures. I complimented the apricot colors in the wallpaper with some deep juniper green accents and lots of natural rattan. I love the way this moodboard turned out, and I hope you do too!

What I love about this bedroom is that it's textural and interesting, but not overdone. There's a lot going on in terms of patterns and textures, and yet it still feels approachable and cozy (very important for a bedroom). When mixing this many patterns and textures, I like to go BIG on a few key items (see here: wallpaper, chair, rug, and lamp) and then keep everything else relatively understated. The wall art is more neutral, the throw pillows are more "matching" versus the standard mixed textiles you usually see on a bed. The bedside table lamps are bold but subtle at the same time, and the bed has just enough detail to make it interesting without over-powering the space. These are the subtle nuances that make your design come together in a way that's not only pleasing to the eye, but a lot of other senses as well.
