Oftentimes when it comes to designing our homes, there's always some kind of reason to "wait". You wait to hang artwork until you can get around to painting, or you wait to add decor finishes to your kitchen until you can completely remodel the whole thing. But just saying that out loud sounds CRAZY... because it is!
Why do we do this? We spend years looking at a barren kitchen we don't love simply because we're saving up for the big remodel. It's nuts! I propose an alternative solution -- don't wait! That was my motto when I installed these plug-in bedside scones in my master bedroom. Would they look better hardwired?! For SURE! But we are due for a new headboard here soon and I knew that hardwiring them in now would potentially cause problems down the road if I need to adjust their height to the new headboard. I could've waited, but is said NAH... and hung them up anyway. I love the way they look, and am so glad I didn't wait. And, I don't even notice the cord that much anymore.
So this is your task.... stop waiting to do the things you love in your home and just DO them. You won't regret it, I promise.
